Special features regarding the library

The library sees itself as a teaching library: the students of most courses are trained in courses on scientific work. Together with the compulsory first-semester training and an additional training offer during the final thesis, a three-stage model for imparting information skills results. In addition, the library, with extended opening hours until midnight, is a central place of study and work at the university.

There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Advanced Writing and Cultural Studies, Business English - Oral Communication Skills, Business English - Written Communication Skills.

Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is free of charge. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the Hochschule Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. The programme includes many sports such as football, volleyball, hockey, table tennis, badminton, basketball and Ultimate Frisbee. In addition to these are fitness sessions such as a running group, ghetto workout, dance workout, Jump & Run, Bodyfit for Women or gym (circuit training). Various dance courses are also available. There are also various arrangements with sports providers from the region who offer reduced rates for students. The includes activities from golf to martial arts to bouldering.
