Locations: In total, more than 2,300 workspaces at six locations; Central library with large reading room, modern group and individual workspaces; Saxon State and University Library (SLUB) makerspace, TextLab; Workspaces in green surroundings.; Stock: One of the largest academic libraries in Germany, extensive textbook collection, numerous licensed specialist databases; Research in the SLUB catalogue with around 60 million items; Service: We carry knowledge in any form: from the Dresden Codex of the Maya to original manuscripts by Martin Luther to the up-to-date dissertations in all scientific fields, from music manuscripts by Johann Sebastian Bach to design photos from the 1920s to state-of-the-art, three-dimensional map programmes. Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Dresden University Sports Centre (DHSZ) is a joint central institution of Dresden University of Applied Sciences and TU Dresden. All students are equally entitled to the courses offered. Participation is subject to fees. Thinking needs movement! Under this motto, Dresden University Sports Centre accompanies over 40,000 students, employees and families each year within TU Dresden, Dresden University of Applied Sciences and other Dresden higher education institutions with an attractive range of sports and events. Whether a sweaty workout, relaxed training, thrills or deep relaxation, Dresden University Sports Centre brings sporty or relaxing change into everyday university life.
