Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. The conditions of participation in sports programmes at other universities are the responsibility of the respective university sports facilities on site. The decision as to whether HHU students may take part in the university sports of external universities is made by the representative of the university in question. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. With a few exceptions, the university sports programme at HHU is almost free for students. With their enrolment fee, students pay EUR 3 to Hochschulsport e.V. (University Sports Association). Special feature: We have been offering e-sports for students for 1.5 years. A cardio fitness/exercise course is offered every day from 6pm for all those who find it hard to exercise, offering a balance to the sedentary everyday student life. The programme includes more than 250 hours of sports per week. The association is composed of the Düsseldorf state universities. Sports: We offer 75 different sports. From A for acrobatics to Z for ZUMBA. These are divided into individual sports, team sports, martial arts, dancing and water sports.
