Special features regarding university sports

The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the TU Dortmund, University of Duisburg-Essen (with the status of being a student at another higher education institution.) Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. University-owned 1,100 sqm fitness studio within walking distance of the main train station; in the winter semester 2019/20 there are over 490 courses per week covering 95 sports; large diving area; cooperation with other sports organisations for golf, inline skating, tennis (indoor), SUP; University's own artificial grass pitch. The programme is open to: Hochschule für Gesundheit (hsg), Ev. FH Bochum, TH Bochum, Bochum University of Applied Sciences, EBZ Business School.
