Special features regarding teaching

The three degree courses in Architecture, Civil Engineering and Energy-Efficient Planning and Building represent the faculty’s three lines of training. They are being expanded and supplemented by continuing education courses. The result is a comprehensive package with which the faculty fulfils its unique selling point and regional educational mandate as the only faculty of Construction. Small groups have personal contact with professors, guest lecturers from Germany and abroad, broad and practice-oriented curriculum, regular day- and week-long excursions, student competitions

Special features regarding the international orientation

English-language courses and lectures, in some instances the possibility of a practical semester as a semester abroad, project work in international projects, participation in excursions; in some cases a compulsory module in English as an integral part. There are many international partner universities available to choose from.

Special features regarding the equipment

The faculty has well-equipped laboratories in the fields of Building Materials, Surveying, Foundation and Hydraulic Engineering and Measurement Engineering. Also available are a community water management laboratory, a CAX laboratory with 3D plotter and scanner and a modelling workshop as well as a field laboratory and light laboratory with an artificial sky.
