Special features regarding teaching

The department uses an extraordinary variety of digital teaching formats, e.g. inverted classroom, wiki-based teaching, blended learning offers in combination with face-to-face teaching and online formats (e.g. learning games, recordings, e-tests, pedagogical agents, audience response applications). Lecturers of the department have received numerous teaching awards for innovative teaching-learning offers (especially in digital teaching). At the faculty there is a department of media education, which provides numerous impulses in research and teaching.

Special features regarding the equipment

PC pool available. Measuring and test equipment can be borrowed or is available in the laboratories under supervision. Labs bookable. Instruction takes place in the events, or individually. Access to databases such as Spomed, Spowiss, Statista,..

Sport facilities

In 2003, the TU Darmstadt concluded a cooperation agreement with the Allgemeiner Deutscher Hochschulsportverband (adh) and the Olympiastützpunkt Frankfurt as a "partner university of top-class sport" in order to guarantee a better compatibility of study and sport.
