Special features regarding the international orientation

Study abroad at the "Chinese-German Technical Faculty" at the Technical University of Qingdao (partner university in China); numerous partner universities (e.g. ERASMUS). Establishment of an English-language international master's degree course in "Materials Science".

There is also a chemical pilot plant. Move into a new interdisciplinary research building in spring 2019 with laboratories and machine hall for the fields of mechanical engineering, chemistry and physics in the cooperation focus on lightweight construction with hybrid systems. A special feature in the large-scale equipment is the procurement of a 700 MHz NMR spectrometer in 2018.
