Special features regarding the international orientation

English-language courses, some native speakers; various international double degree options in Bachelor and Master: for example, over 10 years of successful cooperation with the University of South Wales: more than 90% of Master students have so far completed the double Master's programme to obtain 2 Master's degrees in 3 semesters; foreign language lessons mandatory and optional; internship or study semester abroad possible; worldwide network of partner universities, companies, lecturers; international guest students, lively international student life.

Current projects of the WIW course: GROW Go your Own Way in the area of entrepreneurship (project of the state Baden Württemberg; - entrepreneurship third-party funded project for transfer and foundation); digital hub in the field of digitalisation (project by the state of Baden Württemberg); FESt-BW in the area of teaching (project of the state Baden Württemberg); Material science; Sensors (project of the Carl Zeiss Foundation); EXIST (project of the federal government - Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi)).

Support for founders

WIW offers multiple help when starting a business: Cooperation with the IHK Chamber of Industry and Commerce on start-up advice; optional start-up semester as a practical semester; elective module Entrepreneurship with Award; as part of GROW through series of lectures, courses, events; business game SimVenture for virtual company formation; seminars with a certificate, for example SCRUM; network to companies / business incubators; development of a pool of start-up consulting experts; support for founders with EXIST applications; conception of a start-up lab.
