Very good supervision ratio through 4 Business Informatics chairs; promotion of profile building through elective options in the areas of Business Informatics, Business Administration and Computer Science; wide range of courses thanks to the participation of two universities; introduction of current research topics into teaching; excellent networking with business and research institutions in the region; several programmes for study abroad; additional offers and certification options; accredited degree programme; resources from both universities can be used.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Students can take advantage of exchange programmes from the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart, i.e.: Large number of international partner universities worldwide; personal support for students; language centres Hohenheim and Stuttgart offer language courses for all target countries; intercultural training possible with certificate ("F.I.T. International“). In research there is a close exchange with the German University of Cairo and, with a focus on "Negotiation Research", with the Vienna University of Technology, the University of Oxford, the University of Auckland etc. Participation in an ISO committee.

Excellent technical equipment of the Business Informatics chairs with their own laboratories for research and teaching, including: Additive Manufacturing Lab (3D printing); DevOps Lab; ERP BI Lab; Eye tracking; Industry 4.0 Lab; IoT Lab; Organisational Communication Lab; Computing clusters (GSaME OpenStack, ASflex OpenStack); Technology Partnership Lab; use of the laboratories and software (including MS Dynamics ERP, Python, SAP BW on Hana) for exercises, seminars and theses. Computer pool with 45 workstations. 5 libraries with a wide range of databases and specialist literature.

Special features regarding research activities

Numerous research projects on behalf of state and private sector institutions (including DFG, BMBF, BMWI, State of Baden Württemberg) possibility of student participation through theses or field tests. Connection to the GSaME graduate school of the University of Stuttgart.
