Versatile very modern training; variety of opportunities; specialisation does not, however, mean that content is fixed; a broad spectrum of job opportunities is open to graduates of the HTW Berlin; the regular involvement of lecturers from industry in the teaching, as well as excellent contacts of the professors to industry, also support the practice-oriented approach.

Our infrastructure and equipment offer students room for creative ideas and allow them to be realised. With our special labs we have created excellent facilities: ultra-modern, very good IT laboratories/MAC laboratories, cave automatic virtual environment, mobile computing lab, "Game Technology & Interactive Systems" lab etc.

Special features regarding research and development

Research activities in the research area Culture and Creative Industries - Digital Economy, in particular the development of new applications and products in the field of media and information technology, and in the research area Health Research, in particular the development of innovative and environmentally friendly medical technology products and services. Results are made accessible to a broad public through publications, lectures and events.

Support for founders

Offers within the framework of the Summer University, i.e. free workshops and seminars on the topic of self-employment and company formation, changing offers of lectures and workshops on current issues from the start-up scene, e.g. lecture series, workshops on design thinking, advice on start-up scholarships, exchange formats with successful founders.

Other special features

The degree course is short, compact and is oriented towards professional practice. Foreign languages as well as key qualifications are given a high level of importance. A particularly innovative university, the HTW Berlin has received multiple awards for their reforms in university management, for their extensive training, guidance and service offerings in the field of small and medium-sized companies and start-ups, as well as for their commitment towards gender equality.
