Special features regarding teaching

Balanced education in Economics and Engineering, teaching of soft skills, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering branches of study, inter-disciplinary professional fields, incl. seminars and case studies/project work (Bachelor's) 9-week subject-related work placement (Bachelor's), 4-week technical stage I work placement (Bachelor's), theoretical or practical thesis, professional competence, continuation course in consecutive (e.g. Industrial Engineering) and non-consecutive Master's courses.

Special features regarding the international orientation

Cooperation agreements with 75 partner universities, including 64 Erasmus +; 255 exchange places (including 220 places Erasmus +) for students of the faculty including courses in Industrial Engineering (as of Nov. 2019); advice from the International Office of the Faculty of Economics (English-language courses, especially in the Master's programme; American-African-European (AAE) Summer and Winter Schools, English language course in the Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, constant expansion of the English-language courses.

Participation in (technical) equipment of the faculties of Mechanical Engineering: for example laboratory for integrated product development, project house METEOR, experiment and digital factory as well as Electrical Engineering and Information Technology: for example computer workstations with FEM software for the development of electromagnetic energy converters, laboratory hall with transformers, DC machines, engine test benches; teaching licenses for various software tools, for example for material flow analysis, extensive economics databases, plus a wide range of literature available online.
