Special features regarding teaching

The Business Informatics course has a very high proportion of practical teaching. The majority of modules have a 2+2 structure, which means that out of four weekly study hours, 2 are practice-related teaching formats, such as work placements (programming, app development, etc.). In addition, the small semester and project working groups offer an ideal learning environment.

Special features regarding the international orientation

There are numerous partnerships with universities from abroad.

Exchange universities for stay abroads

Reichman University Israel, Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, Inha University Südkorea

Special features regarding the equipment

There is a large number of PC workstations available so that students can always find somewhere to study. By moving into our new seminar building, state-of-the-art computer pools and work rooms are available. In addition, the IT infrastructure provides a high degree of virtualisation. The software is always kept up to date. The university also offers access to widespread ERP, CRM and data warehouse systems, the use of which in various internships enables practical training of students.

Special features regarding research activities

The research focus areas lie in Data Mining and Process Management.

Support for founders

Two relevant compulsory elective modules are offered in the 7th semester of Business Information Systems: "Entrepreneurship" and "Startup finance".

Other special features

The degree course in Business Informatics at the Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen maintains good contacts with industry. There are numerous collaboration projects with student participation.
