Special features regarding teaching

The self-image of Business Information Systems in Clausthal, which is geared towards technology and information, is to provide graduates with a solid education in both Computer Science and Economics. Due to the school's small size, students are very quickly integrated into research groups and thus learn on the job while being individually supervised and supported. For students in the Master's course, there is also the possibility of an (optional) subject specialisation in the areas of Serious Games, Information Systems Engineering and Operations Research.

Special features regarding the equipment

Research focuses include Decentralised Information Systems and an excellent library and IT infrastructure. In addition to a computer pool with 80 workstations, there are new labs for Software Systems Engineering, Mobile and Enterprise Computing, Human Centred Information Systems and database systems with powerful equipment. The TUC has a modern multimedia lab for e-learning.

Special features regarding research activities

The research focus areas are the Modelling and Simulation of Socio-Technical Systems, Mobile and Enterprise Computing, Human-Machine Interaction, Software Engineering and Operations Research; Thanks to current projects, students are incorporated in research activities at an early stage.
