The concept of smaller groups is consistently pursued. In this way, the students can develop a lot of content themselves and at the same time draw on the expertise of the lecturers.

Special features regarding the international orientation

The Centre for International Relations assists students (outgoing) in organising their stay abroad (choosing the right university, course selection, recognition of credits, financing, etc.). Support for founders

The Augsburg Center for Entrepreneurship is a central contact point on the subject of start-ups. Potential and aspiring founders, as well as young companies already launched can obtain essential information, from brainstorming and business model development to funding. In addition, the online platform provides an interdisciplinary resource of all course contents regarding the topic of entrepreneurship, as well as the advisory services for founders at the university and regional partners.

Other special features

The faculty’s research focuses on the areas of sustainability, health and society and digital business and entrepreneurship. In the Environmental Economics and Public Economics course packages, questions from the first two research focus areas are addressed, which ensures a special research orientation in the Bachelor's degree course. The Master's degree course builds directly on the first two research focus areas and, through numerous elective options, enables a holistic economic perspective of the most pressing future issues facing our society.
