The broad-based course Design offers joint and specific courses for the subjects Wood Design / Furniture and Product Design\; Fashion Design and Textile Art / Textile Design. Following the tradition of the Department of Applied Art in Schneeberg, these courses train designers for one-of-a-kind designs and series products with a high degree of design and technical skills. The courses are characterised by a tight link between the design process and product realisation. The students' individual profiles are formed according to design, industry or artistic specialisations on the basis of general foundations in artistic design as well as culture, art, social sciences and design.
