§ 2 of the General Examination Regulations for Master's courses § 2 of the Applied Statistics Examination Regulations 1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) of at least 180 credit points from a German or foreign university a.) with a grade of 2.0 or better in mathematics (applied mathematics or business mathematics) or statistics, b.) with a grade of 2.0 or better in business management, social sciences/sociology or economics with with at least 24 credit points in the field of "mathematics, quantitative methods, statistics", of which at least 5 credit points are in mathematics and at least 10 credit points are in statistics; or (c) one of the degree courses referred to in points (a) and (b) with a grade of 2.0 or higher and at least 30 credit points in the field of "mathematics, quantitative methods, statistics". Decisions regarding equivalence and affinity and admission of applicants with grades between 2.1 and 2.5 are made by the examination board individual cases. 2. Proof of English language skills in accordance with § 4 para. 2 of the admissions regulations of Trier University. A letter of motivation must be included with the application for the degree course. Sound knowledge of the R programming language is recommended.
