Admission requirements

Further to the controlled admissions for Master's degrees regulated according to section 2 of the general examination regulations, students of the Master's course in Applied Geography (subsidiary) must satisfy the following further requirements: 1. A BA degree in Applied Geography at the University of Trier or another degree which is equivalent in the scope and content of this Bachelor's. The Examination Committee determines the equivalence of courses. In the event that another degree is not entirely equivalent, technical requirements of the BA in Applied Geography (subsidiary) must be independently acquired. The examination board determines the type and extent of the modules to be additionally studied. 2. The degree must be assessed with an overall grade at least 2.5. If the degree grade is specified in relative values the admission requirement of a minimum required grade is of level C. (2) A requirement is that students have sufficient active and passive command of English to enable them to read specialist literature in English and to participate in lectures conducted in English.
