- Application deadline: 15 January for the beginning of the summer semester and 1 July for the beginning of the winter semester. - Proof of a first university degree or equivalent degree with at least 6 semesters of standard study time (180 LP) or comparable scope of study - First degree *from the subject Slavic Studies or * from another philology or *from a subject in the humanities or social sciences with a focus on Central, Eastern or Southeastern Europe - Average grade 2.50 (good) or better - Proof of competence in at least two of the areas: Linguistics, Literary Studies, Cultural Studies to the extent of at least 20 credit points (in the case of failure to provide proof to the required extent, provisional admission may also be granted)\; with the condition that the outstanding payments be made by the end of the 2nd study semester) Proof of language skills of level B2 CEFR in at least one of the languages: Russian, Czech, Polish, Slovakian or Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian - if the higher education entrance qualification or first degree was not acquired at a German-speaking institution: Proof of German language skills at DSH-2 level (or equivalent language test) - If the degree certificate is not yet available at the time of application: Application with proof of previous study and examination achievements is possible if at least 150 credit points have been achieved and a preliminary overall examination grade is shown. In this case, provisional admission and enrolment is also possible (final certificate must be submitted by the end of the 1st study semester.
