Annotation

The Master's degree programme in "Social Work in a Migrant Society" responds to the increasing differentiation of the labour market for social workers. The study programme enables flexible, individual profile building that responds to new developments in the fields of activity (e.g. all-day school, extracurricular educational locations, work in Muslim-influenced cultural milieus). In addition to the basic topics of social work, the Master's degree course builds on a broad range of subjects and expands the study offer above all through the following features: Strong research focus on the action areas of a Muslim welfare system and the action areas of social work in a migrant society; Strong relation to social, cultural and political framework conditions (in particular with regard to transformation processes in a migrant society); Deepening of relevant topics at the interface of social work, migration research and Muslim welfare work as well as greater ability to connect to academic qualification paths.
