Annotation

Minor subject in the combination Bachelor's degree course - only possible in combination with a major subject Standard period of study: 6 or 8 semesters (depending on combination) The degree depends on the major subject chosen. Further information on the structure of the combination Bachelor's degree course can be found here:https://www.uni-marburg.de/de/studium/studieninteressierte/studienmoeglichkeiten/kombibachelor The minor subject Protestant Theology offers you the opportunity to acquire the foundations for an academically sound study of the content and subjects of Protestant theology. In addition to getting to know the core areas of Protestant theology, an essential goal is to learn the scientific way of thinking and its implementation in practice. The study programme opens up the historical and religious foundations of Western culture in a broad way and teaches key skills such as linguistic competence and historical and systematic thinking and knowledge. After completing the study programme, you will be able to recognise the links within the theological disciplines and to connect theological content with topics from other sciences. You can also interpret theological content in the context of current social problems and discuss proposed solutions. This makes you a theologian. An integral part of the degree course is the MarSkills programme, in which you acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills (see https://www.uni-marburg.de/de/fb09/igs/arbeitsgruppen/sprechwissenschaft/marskills/was-ist-marskills).
