Annotation

The Master's degree programme in Political Integration and Economic Globalisation (Master of Arts) is a consecutive degree course for students with a Bachelor's degree in Social Science or Economics. In the process of internationalisation, political and economic aspects are closely interlinked. For example, in the context of European integration, the economic interdependence, political cooperation and the legal protection (communitarisation) of regulatory areas are often directly related to one another. In addition, there are also many other forms of political, economic and legal integration processes in the global space. The focus of the degree course is therefore on the mutual links and forms of mediation between economic, political and legal aspects of international integration and disintegration, as well as other forms of thematically relevant political, economic and legal processes in the global area. In doing so, students should acquire the following skills: - Acquire specialist knowledge of the process of international integration/disintegration and other forms of political, economic and legal processes in the global space from an inter-disciplinary perspective; - Training of analytical skills to identify the points of contact and intersections of economic, political and legal forms of integration be able to identify them systematically and by way of example; - Analysis and evaluation of the – partly contradictory, partly complementary – course of international integration/disintegration and economic, political and legal aspects of globalisation. Research focuses In the first semester, you will acquire important fundamentals in subjects that were not a focus of your first degree and then specialize in relevant areas in the disciplines of economics or political science. Part of the programme is also a research-oriented college and an international internship.
