Target group

Graduates of a relevant Bachelor's degree course in the field of economics or a comparable domestic or foreign certificate of academic degree with professional qualifications. In the completed degree course, at least 120 credit points (LP) must have been acquired in economics subjects as well as the associated auxiliary sciences that convey methodological competence (e.g. mathematics for economists, statistics). In addition, methodological competencies in the form of at least 15 LP from the field of mathematics, statistics, operations research, econometrics or empirical economic research must be available. Of these 15 LP, at least 5 must have been acquired in mathematics and at least 5 in statistics.

Annotation

The degree course "International Business Management" is a joint programme of the Department of Economics of the University of Marburg and the Grande Ecole INSEEC Business School, France. It is designed as a consecutive, predominantly research-oriented Master's degree course that extends over four semesters. The strong international orientation is not only reflected in the teaching, but also in a required internship abroad. The languages of instruction for students from Marburg are German and English. Research focuses This Master's degree has the main objective of imparting business knowledge with emphasis on international aspects. The French specialisation "International Business Strategy" specialises on individual business disciplines (e.g. brand or supply chain management) and supplements them with aspects of human resources (e.g. intercultural conflicts or questions of business ethics). The programme is subject to an aptitude assessment procedure.
