The course is aimed at graduates with a first professional degree in Degree courses in the field of Economics with content in education or one that is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 ECTS and subject-related study at a university or higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

Admission requirements

A subject related requirement is a degree course in the field of Economic Sciences, over which course achievements must be proven to the following extent: 35 CP in Business Administration, 15 CP in Economics, 6 CP in Mathematics and 6 CP in Statistics. Depending on the chosen field of study, the following are also required: a) Discipline I (Master of Science): at least 18 CP in Business Education and 17 CP in in-school practical studies; b) Discipline II (Master of Education): at least 16 CP in Business Education and 17 CP in in-school practical studies as well as at least 40 CP in a non-economics subject. With the Bachelor's degree, graduates should be among the best 65% of their year (ECTS grade A, B, C) or have a final grade of 2.5 or better. Foreign students are required to provide evidence of German proficiency at the level of a “German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education for Foreign Students” (DSH) test (stage 2), a “Test of German as a Foreign Language” (TestDaF) (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
