Admission requirements

Admission requirements are a university Diplom, Magister or BA degree in the subject areas of Social Science (Sociology, Political Science, Ethnology/Social and Cultural Anthropology/Folklore Studies), Philology, Cultural Studies (including Communications Science, Media Science, Journalism and Theology), History and Philosophy, from a German or international university. Graduates from degree courses that do not have an explicit focus on Sociology or Social Sciences must be able to prove at least 30 credit points of course components studied in the field of Sociology, Social Sciences or Anthropology/Ethnology. In justified individual cases, the Examination Board can grant admission despite a lower workload in the named subject.
