Admission requirements

Relevant Bachelor's degrees obtained at higher education institutions in Germany and abroad or comparable qualifications constitute the admission requirements for the Master's course. All Diplom, Magister and Bachelor degrees are considered to be relevant provided that the previous studies imparted knowledge and skills in Social Science disciplines in particular (Political Science, Sociology, National Economics) or included combined courses with a focus on Social Sciences (for example Regional Studies). If necessary, the requisite knowledge can also be proved by way of a preparatory course during the first semester. In principle, the following qualifications are recognised as equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in terms of meeting admission requirements: The respective Teaching Qualifications for German intermediate and lower secondary schools; for grammar schools; and for vocational schools The Examination Board may recognise other courses of study as equivalent on a case-by-case basis.
