Care Studies as a multidisciplinary academic area deals with the theoretical and empirical principles of care of individuals and the population in healthcare and social services. The aim of the course is to evaluate, design and improve care concepts and quality in healthcare and social services in order to combat over-use, under-use and misuse.

A prerequisite is a Bachelor's degree course in which basic knowledge of healthcare and social services has been obtained with specialist study components in education, special education studies, social sciences, health economics or similar.
