Annotation

In the Bachelor's degree course Applied Chemistry for Analytics, Forensics and Life Science (B.Sc.) you will acquire a broad basic knowledge of both the core chemical subjects and related disciplines in eight semesters. We focus on ensuring that you understand the structure and properties of substances and are able to identify and determine them analytically. The Bachelor's degree course in Applied Chemistry for Analytics, Forensics and Life Science thus combines theoretical fundamentals with practical applications. In addition to the classic subject areas of chemistry, which include inorganic and organic chemistry, physical chemistry and analytics, you will also learn about fields of application such as biotechnology, pharmacology or polymer chemistry. On the one hand, you will complete internships within the university, and on the other hand, you will gain valuable insights into exciting projects - for example in forensics, trace analysis, bioanalytics, biochemistry/biotechnology, clinical chemistry or polymer research - both in your practical semester (5th semester) and in your Bachelor's thesis (8th semester). Both the practical semester and the Bachelor thesis are completed in a company or research institute in Germany or abroad. In doing so, you can fall back on our network of cooperation partners. The Institute for Analytical Research (IFAR) also offers exciting fields of research in environmental and water analysis within the university.
