The course of study at the department lasts a total of 19.5 months; the professional in-depth studies at the State Office for Finance 16.5 months. Generally, civil servants entering into the third qualification level in the specialist career track Administration and Finance with a specialisation in State Financial Administration are employed in one of the State Offices for Finance.

Training within the administration. No direct application at the higher education institution: Successful participation in the selection procedure of the Landespersonalausschuss (State Personnel Board)(https://www.lpa.bayern.de/). In addition: The unrestricted entrance qualification for universities of applied science, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, general higher education entrance qualification, or a level of education recognised as equivalent by the Bavarian State Ministry for Teaching and Culture, Science and Art; German citizenship, citizenship of another member state of the European Union or citizenship of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland – if you are currently in the process of obtaining citizenship, you may register for the selection procedure, provided that you are expected to obtain the required citizenship by the appointment date; Age limit: you must be under the age of 45 at the time of appointment;
