Judicial officer trainees of the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland receive their training here. Following admission to the traineeship, the applicants are employed as civil servants with a revocable appointment. They have the title of “Rechtspflegeranwärterin” or “Rechtspflegeranwärter”, e.g. “trainee judicial officer” During the training (the so-called "Vorbereitungsdienst" or traineeship) they receive trainee stipends (salary) according to the Civil Service Remuneration Act (Bundesbesoldungsgesetz).
