Admission requirements

General higher education entrance qualification or - a degree proven in accordance with Section 10 (1) Number 1 of the Midwifery Act (Hebammengesetz), - a contract for academic midwifery training starting with a practice partner contractually affiliated with the TU Dresden, which is signed by both contracting parties, - extended certificate of good conduct in accordance with Section 30 a (1) of the Federal Central Register Act (BZRG) - suitability in terms of health to complete the degree course, - a work placement of at least four weeks in one of the following areas or a combination of the following: (a) clinical assignment with a focus on obstetrics, postpartum ward or gynaecological ward; b) out-of-hospital midwifery activity in the birth centre of a midwife's practice or with freelance midwives, c) gynecologist/obstetrician in own practice with a focus on prenatal care and/or prenatal diagnostics.
