Annotation

Our Media Management degree course with a focus on PR Management and Journalism strengthens your expertise in the fields of media and communication management and makes you a professional in the conceptual design, management and distribution of digital content on a wide variety of channels. You will become adept at dealing with various journalistic text forms, become familiar with interview techniques and press standards and know how to protect your sources and intellectual property. With us, you will learn how to research trustworthy information and recognise fake news as well as how to create a content strategy for successful, integrated cross-media communication. In projects with fellow students from your own and other degree courses, you will learn about working with editorial and content management systems and about how editorial teams work together and you will become familiar with rights and obligations when publishing offline and online content. New “data-driven” journalism, which deals with virtual reality and machine learning as well as their opportunities and risks, is just as much a part of the curriculum as the topics of media ethics, influencer marketing, brand management, user-generated content, hate speech and corporate social responsibility. Your public relations and journalism knowledge is supported by economic modules in areas such as Business Administration, Leadership, Human Resources and Finance. You will also get to know digital and sustainable business models, learn more about project and change management and broaden your horizons in elective modules and in your work placement or semester abroad.
