Our Bachelor of Engineering deepens your technology knowledge and is structured as an interdisciplinary course thanks to specialisations in (medical) device technology, smart manufacturing, sensor technology and computer science. You will first learn the basics in disciplines such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or programming and deepen your knowledge in the field of mathematics, statistics and physics. Based on this, you will deepen your knowledge on current topics such as data analytics, the Internet of Things, computer-aided manufacturing and a number of intelligent systems and technologies. During your studies, you will also strengthen your know-how in the areas of power electronics, drive technology, cloud technologies, and autonomous and embedded systems. You will be familiar with various additive and subtractive manufacturing methods, know which materials are best suited for specific products and will be able to model and simulate technical systems. The specialisation in the field of Medical Technology also expands your engineering and medical-technological expertise and strengthens your awareness of the quality requirements of the industry. Focused on Medical Technology, you will learn how imaging techniques are used in medicine and how machine learning and neural networks improve diagnostics. You know how robots and intelligent production methods are ideally used in the production of medical devices and understand how assistance systems and smart human-machine interaction can make our lives easier.
