Admission requirements

The Bachelor’s programme in Teaching Qualification for Vocational Colleges is open to anyone who has 1. the higher education entrance qualification certificate (general or restricted to a relevant subject) or the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or evidence of previous education that is recognised as equivalent by legislation or the responsible state authority, or anyone who meets the requirements for applicants who are considered to be qualified as a result of vocational training or those under the regulations on applicants with international educational qualifications. 2. \ t as a student applicant who has not acquired his or her admission requirements at a German-speaking institution, has sufficient knowledge of the German language. For unrestricted admission to or enrolment on all degree courses, the applicant must prove the language ability required for study. Further details are governed by the current version of the German language proficiency test for access to higher education at the University of Paderborn. 3. \ t meets the further admission requirements of the subject-specific provisions. The study of Comparative Theology of Religions requires basic knowledge of an ancient language (Greek, Hebrew, Latin or Arabic) or of the linguistic structures of such language. This knowledge can be acquired in a one-semester language course at the University of Paderborn and must be proven to the study programme administrator by the latest at the time of registration for the module examination in the advanced module B. The programme administrator advises students in advance on which language courses are suitable and is also responsible for the recognition of language skills acquired elsewhere.
