Annotation

In order to meet the ever increasing challenges of the health professions, the MSH offers the bachelor programme Advanced Nursing Practice. Advanced Nursing Practice describes the working methods of higher educated and experienced nurses The Bachelor's degree course is characterised by its specialisation in the fields of Intensive Medicine and Intensive Care, Anaesthesiology and Anaesthetic Care as well as Emergency Medicine and Emergency Management. In addition, the bachelor's degree course serves the extension of existing nursing practice and the development of new nursing skills in education, research and practice. The aim of the bachelor's degree course is to educate students on current and future challenges as reflexive and changeable actors. Especially through the ability to critically analyse and analyse existing knowledge, the graduates contribute to the quality assurance and further development of the health and care professions by examining and evaluating nursing activities. Against this background, the basics of economics and business administration as well as models of business process management are important aspects of the course. Standard period of study: Part-time: 9 semesters, without credit part-time: 6 semesters by means of an acknowledgement examination in the first semester and acknowledgement of your professional activity

Admission requirements

The courses at the MSH Medical School Hamburg are not admission-restricted: talent, motivation and discipline count more than the grade point average on the certificate. Punctuality, good performance and commitment during the studies are of great importance. - General higher education entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or equivalent qualification for admission to higher education in accordance with Art. 37 HmbHG or - special admission for professionals in accordance with Art. 38 HmbHG about the entrance examination in line with the entrance examination regulations of the university of applied sciences and interview - and a completed vocational apprenticeship as a nurse/paediatric nurse/geriatric nurse - at least two years of professional experience prior to admission to the Bachelor's exam - possibility to continue studies in accordance with Art. 39 HmbHG
