The MSB trains social workers who provide optimal advice and support to families in challenging life situations. The Bachelor's degree course in social work with a focus on family and counselling at MSB is an academically-based, practice-oriented course structured around system theory, which leads to a first professionally qualifying Bachelor of Arts B.A. after a standard period of study of seven semesters.

Admission requirements

The courses at MSB Medical School Berlin are not admission-restricted: talent, motivation and discipline count more than the grade point average on the certificate. Punctuality, good performance and commitment during the studies are of great importance. You must have the following prerequisites for the full-time Social Work, Counselling and Family Emphasis programme at MSB: - Entitlement to study according to Art. 10 BerlHG (general university entrance qualification, subject-specific university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification or comparable qualification) or - university entrance qualification for vocationally qualified persons according to Art. 11 BerlHG - possibility of further study according to 11 BerlHG - a preliminary internship of at least one month in a recognised social and health care institution
