Target group

Subject of the M.A. “Medieval and Early Modern Studies” combine History, Art, Literature, Music, Theatre, Philosophy and Theology of the Middle Ages and early Modern Era. In the specialisation area, which builds on the respective Bachelor's degree, the course offers a subject-specific specialisation, which is expanded from an interdisciplinary perspective in the compulsory elective area. On the basis of the cross-linguistic and cross-disciplinary technical approach as well as the intensive discussion work in colloquia and in individual counselling, the course achieves a comprehensive examination of the (cultural) history of this extremely multifaceted era.

Annotation

If the Bachelor degree certificate is not available by the application deadline, but at least 135 credit points can be proven: Submit a certificate of study and examinations and the average grade achieved so far. (This certificate must be issued by the relevant higher education institution, original or officially authenticated copy). After enrolment, the diploma must be submitted. If the degree was obtained abroad: officially authenticated copy of a certificate of recognition (responsible: Student Service - Admission International).

A requirement for admission is the selection of a specialisation area during registration. The admission requirements differ according to the subject-specific specialisation, especially with regard to the required language skills (see the admission website).
