The degree course in History can only be studied in combination with the subject French/Lettres modernes in the German-French degree course (siehe https://www.studium.uni-mainz.de/internationale-studienprogramme/).. Admission requirements

Good knowledge of English is required, which is applied and assessed within the scope of an English reading exercise. The knowledge of an additional Romance or Slavic language is assessed by means of a language test that must be successfully completed by the end of the third semester. Alternatively, Latin (Latinum) can even replace a Romance or Slavic language within the History course\; the acquisition of a modern Romance or Slavonic language must then be completed however (including proof in the form of an examination) by the start of the Master's degree course (for additional requirements, see examination regulations at www.uni-mainz.de/studlehr/ordnungen). The subject History/Histoire can only be studied in combination with the subject of French/Lettres modernes in the German-French degree course.
