Admission requirements

Evidence of French language proficiency obtained through five years of school education completed with a grade of at least “sufficient” or 5 points, or through a certificate of advanced French language proficiency at the level of CEFR B2, which can be demonstrated through a language test or through the Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (DELF B2). Evidence of French language proficiency can also be provided by submitting a higher education entrance qualification completed at a French-speaking school or an Abi-Bac. Students are required to have a very good active and passive English language proficiency that enables them to prepare written and oral examinations in English (for further requirements see the Examination Regulations at www.uni-mainz.de/studlehr/ordnungen).
