Target group

The guiding principle is to pick up on the structural changes within the health sector and to train specialists for the management of medical care. This course is particularly interesting for Bachelor's degree graduates in Economics or Health Sciences who have sufficient prior knowledge in the fields of Statistics, Evaluation of Health Economics, Management and Controlling, Medicine and Public Health as well as basic knowledge of the German Health system.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's degree in Economics/Health Sciences or a similar discipline with a grade of at least 2.5 and 210 CP from the Bachelor's degree or 180 CP from the Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a preparatory semester at the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen with 30 CP. A Diplom degree in Economics/Health Sciences or similar discipline with a grade of at least 2.5 also meets the admission requirements if the following semester periods per week are achieved. Of the 210 CP, at least - 10 CP (8 semester periods per week) must come from the field of Statistics and Health Economics Evaluation, - 6 CP (4 semester periods per week) must come from the field of Public Health/Medicine or evidence must be provided of equivalent knowledge from vocational training in medicine/nursing, - 6 CP (4 semester periods per week) must come from the field of basic knowledge of the German healthcare system and - 12 CP (10 semester periods per week) must come from the field of Management and Controlling.
