General or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification Entry is possible without a school leaving certificate giving right of entry to higher education (Abitur or Matura) or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachabitur or Fachmatura), if you meet one of the following requirements: - completed at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of professional experience in the profession you have trained in - successful passing of the Master Craftsperson’s examination - successful completion of a course as a state-certified Technician or state-certified Business Economist
