Target group

The degree course prepares students for employment in public and private organisations and institutions in the area of basic research, conceptualisation and design, development, organisation, implementation and evaluation of multimedia, Internet-based education processes and media communication processes.

Annotation

A computer with Internet access is required for the course. Basic knowledge of the English language, at least a relevant reading competence, is necessary for a successful course of study.

Admission requirements

Completion of at least 6 semesters of study - Bachelor's degree course in Education Science or a Diplom or Magister degree course in Education as a main subject, - Teacher training (Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, 1. State examination) or comparable foreign university degrees. Admission will also be granted to students who have completed a course of at least 6 semesters in the following related major subjects (Sociology, Psychology, Social Sciences) and who have also completed two basic modules of the Bachelor’s course in Educational Science at the FernUniversität (German Open University): Module 1A (Introduction to Educational Science) and Module 1B (Education and Society). These module certificates must be obtained (e.g. in academy studies) before starting the Master’s course (for more information, see application documents).
