Target group

The Master's in Mechatronics and Robotics is aimed at graduates of Engineering bachelor programs in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering and related disciplines.

Annotation

The degree course is characterised by a very high proportion of application-oriented research projects which can be carried out either in the university laboratories, research institutes or industrial companies. It is also possible to carry out the Master's thesis and project work at foreign partner universities. The Master's degree course in Mechatronics and Robotics is offered in German, and selected modules are taught in the international engineering language of English. The degree course prepares students for demanding positions in the industrial environment, for example in the areas of research and development or project management.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements: -a first qualifying certificate of academic degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable degree courses worth at least 210 ECTS credits and with a final grade of 2.5 or better. -English language skills to be proved by a language test (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)) or another language certificate that shows language skills of at least B2 of the CEFR and is no more than three years old. - If the previous degree course comprised less than 210 ECTS points (credits), admission is subject to the condition that the successful completion of modules comprising up to 30 ECTS points (credits) must be proven before admission to the Master's thesis.
