The degree course is open to you in a 3-semester and a 4-semester variant, depending on whether you have already acquired a first professionally qualifying academic degree in Electrical and Information Technology with a focus on Information and Communication Technology or a comparable subject area. The 4-semester variant is offered in the winter semester and the 3-semester variant in the summer semester. With a Master's academic degree in Information Technology, you will qualify for positions in science, public administration and industry – as a technical specialist or technical manager, for example. Thanks to the different technological methods you have learned and applied during your degree course, you can work in the research and development of integrated product and service concepts in the field of information technology. Your Master's academic degree also qualifies you for a doctorate.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements: - A first professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree in Electrical and Information Technology with a focus on Information and Communication Technology. The degree course must have been completed with an overall grade of at least 2.5 and be worth at least 180 ECTS points. For the 3-semester variant, which is offered in the summer semester, the certificate of academic degree must demonstrate at least 210 ECTS points. - English language skills of level B2 of the CEFR through a language test (no more than three years old) - A curriculum vitae - A letter of motivation outlining what your particular interest in the Master's degree programme in Information Technology is and where your qualification for this degree programme is seen.
