Target group

Police officers in the higher public service of the Land of Brandenburg or, where appropriate, so-called career-changers’ (the Ministry of the Interior and for Local Affairs of the State of Brandenburg decides on their recruitment).

Annotation

No direct enrolment possible at the university. Entry into the career of the senior police service required. In the first two semesters, the study location is the University of Economics and Law (HWR) in Berlin. In the last two semesters (2nd Academic year) the course takes place at the Deutschen Hochschule der Polizei in Münster.

Admission requirements

Higher-service career track of the Brandenburg police, higher education entrance qualification or a recognised educational qualification, achievement of the first level of promotion, probation period of at least 5 years, instrumental foreign language skills as well as above-average achievements. Aptitude for the career track of the higher police service is determined by a selection procedure carried out under the responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior and the Municipal Department of the State of Brandenburg.
