Annotation

Joint degree programme of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Cultural Studies The Bachelor´s degree course in Law international Politics provides an introduction to the legal and political structures of modern states and societies as well as of international organisations, such as the European Union, and international law. It combines legal and political sciences as well as cultural sciences and social sciences in particular. The degree programme teaches the principles of German, European and international law. This involves analysis of European Union policies, understanding the creation and functioning of democracy and studying key conflicts in international politics. The primary objective of the education and training is the acquisition of suitable methods that enable you to identify, formulate and academically process relevant legal, political and cultural studies issues and problems. From the winter semester of 2021/22, the degree course will be offered in two course variants. In the course variant Law and Politics, the focus is on legal content, while in the course variant Politics and Law, the focus is on political and social science content. The Law and Politics course leads to a Bachelor of Law academic degree (LL.B.), the Politics and Law degree course leads to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) academic degree Contact: Law Faculty Michaela Ignatius Phone +49 (0) 335 5534 2359 ignatius@europa-uni.de Faculty of Cultural Studies Sönke Matthiessen Phone +49 (0) 335 5534 2251 matthiessen@europa-uni.de
