Annotation
Joint degree course of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Cultural Studies. The Bachelor's degree in Law and Politics introduces students to the fundamentals of the legal and political order of modern states and societies as well as international organisations such as the European Union and international law.. It combines legal and political sciences as well as cultural sciences and social sciences in particular. The course teaches the principles of German, European and international law. This involves analysis of European Union policies, understanding the creation and functioning of democracy and studying key conflicts in international politics. The primary goal of the course is the acquisition of suitable methods that enable students to recognise, formulate and scientifically process relevant legal, political and cultural science questions and problems. From the winter semester 2021/22, the degree course will be offered in two study variants. In the course variant Law and Politics, the focus is on legal content, while in the course variant Politics and Law, the focus is on political and social science content. The Law and Politics course leads to a Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B.), the Politics and Law course leads to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Contact: Juristische Fakultät Michaela Ignatius Phone +49 (0) 335 5534 2359 jura-studienberatung@europa-uni.de Kulturwissenschaftliche Fakultät Markus Bierzynski Phone +49 (0) 335 5534 2273 bierzynski@europa-uni.de
