The Master's degree course in Big Band - Playing, Writing, Conducting is aimed at musicians who have already earned a professionally qualifying certificate of academic degree (e.g. Bachelor's degree, First State Examination). Applicants can choose one of the three specialisations: Playing, Writing or Conducting. The skills required for admission to the course must be demonstrated in an aptitude test tailored to these specialisations. Players must have very good skills on their instrument, both as soloists and section players. Writers have very good skills in the fields of arrangement and/or composition, and conductors already have experience conducting in artistic and educational work with genre-typical ensembles.
