Annotation

The career-integrated distance learning course in Event and Online Marketing (Bachelor’s degree) is set up at the Chemnitz University of Technology Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer (ZWT). It is realised in cooperation with TUCed –An-Institut für Transfer und Weiterbildung GmbH (TUCed) This collaboration enables the range of courses to be tailored to the needs of professionals. The course content is taught at TUCed, the competence centre for event research at Chemnitz University of Technology. The exams are carried out under the responsibility of the ZWT and the degree is awarded by the Chemnitz University of Technology. The standard period of study is 8 semesters, whereby the study programme is offered within 6 semesters. Depending on previous education and study intensity, a degree can therefore be obtained before the end of the standard period of study. The 7th and 8th semester can be used to complete the study programme. There are recognition options in the event of relevant initial training with business / commercial components, for example from the areas of media, marketing / communication, events, tourism, trade. The career-integrated distance learning (current employment or employment contract not required) includes e-learning and self-study sections as well as online/hybrid seminar phases with a pronounced practical component. As a distance learning course, the Bachelor’s degree can be completed regardless of location. In total, the study programme comprises approx. 20 one- to three-day seminar phases (online/hybrid) during the first five semesters. This corresponds to approx. 4 seminar phases per semester. The sixth semester is reserved for the completion of the Bachelor's thesis. The seminar phases take place between Thursday and Saturday. After successful completion, graduates are awarded the academic degree of Bachelor of Science. Students thus acquire a state-recognised degree from Chemnitz University of Technology. This also gives them access to the advanced Master's programme, e.g. in Events, at TUCed GmbH.
