Admission requirements for the Master of Education course at the Bielefeld University are participation in a compulsory guidance procedure and a first degree in a suitable degree course. Specific admission requirements for the Special Education programme include: A prior Bachelor's degree including the subsidiary subject of Education Science with the profile "Dealing with Heterogeneity" and the complementary module "Theory and History of Special Education Studies") or the First and Second State Examination for Teaching Qualification (Primary Education, Secondary Education I, Primary Schools and Hauptschul-level), at least 1 year of professional experience AND practice in special education teaching at general schools or at special schools in the administrative district of Detmold.
