Annotation

You are interested in broad-based work in the field of engineering sciences? And you want to be well prepared for interdisciplinary, multifunctional tasks? And having an extremely sound knowledge of mechanical engineering, business administration and management matters to you? This course provides a wide range of engineering expertise and its practical application to solve interdisciplinary tasks. At the end of the degree, you will also acquire specialist knowledge in one of four specialisation areas. A total of six practical course modules are completed in the laboratories of a cooperating university with state-of-the-art equipment, experienced professors, qualified lab engineers and demanding tasks. There is a shortage of skilled labour in mechanical engineering. This is why there is, above all, a lack of broad-based and multi-skilled mechanical engineers. Graduates of the course will be ideally positioned to tackle the challenges of the industry. They know the latest methods and production processes that make simulations and calculations of complex systems possible. They will also apply their skills and know-how to the development of innovative products while taking into account entrepreneurial and ecological aspects. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering is always a good qualification for practical, academic or interdisciplinary and multifunctional project work, enabling graduates to take specialist and management positions in middle management regardless of the sector. A technical highlight of your distance learning course is practical laboratory work that is completed in cooperation with our renowned partner universities in Pforzheim and Wedel. This guarantees that you will work with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. By the way: as an AKAD student, you will be able to participate in a three-week study session in Sacramento: through the California Campus Program. Within the framework of the AKAD-study model, you decide yourself – depending on learning type, level of knowledge or interest – whether you participate in the additional seminars of your course of study at the AKAD University in Stuttgart or not.
